I really enjoyed reading Choplin's "Story of an Hour." I like stories that do not follow the norm. In this story it is thought that her husbands dies. She acts as a normal widow would at first. Then as time past she was so happy to be free for her husband, that she dies of happiness. Come to find out it was a mistake and her husband wasn't dead at all. When he finally comes home he finds that his wife died of happiness that came from him being dead.
I was not required to read this story in American Lit but I found it to be one of the best short stories I have read a needed to share it.
