I actually enjoy this story. Each Character had different personalities. Blanche was the mentally unstable, promiscuous, high society sister. Mitch, the nice guy. Stan, the rude, lower class, womanizing, abusive husband, Stella the push over, gull able, caring sister of Blanche and wife of Stan. I really felt sorry For Blanche and Stella. Blanche was a really messed individual. I think when she lost her husband, her mind went with him. She became mentally ill because of it. I fell sorry for Stella because she is stuck in the middle of Stan and Blanche feud, all while being pregnant. She had to come to term that her sister was really sick and need dramatic help.
More to come tomorrow I have to go to sleep
I enjoyed this story too,I normally do not care for plays. I feel for Stella, loving someone so much, even though he does not treat her right then having a sister that is going through so much. It put a lot of stress on a pregnant women.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this story to and I'm glad it was one of our reads. I just kept thinking of the part of this play that was so famous, when Stan is yelling STELLA!!!! STELLA!!!! It makes me giggle whenever I think about it. It's kinda funny because the overall focus is Blanche and her "crazy" she has going on, but like you and Megan and feel sorry for Stella. No one seemed to be concerned for her or her wants, needs, feelings etc. How difficult to be in love with such a self centered man and have such a challenging sister that wants you to tend to her every need. To be caught in the middle of the turnmoil and animosity of Stan and Blanche had to be exhausting!!
